The case of Teliphone Navigata-Westel
The third case study is about a BC-based company that develops services to better serve the telecommunications needs of businesses and communities across Canada and carriers around the world: Teliphone Navigata-Westel.
From its beginnings as BC Rail Telecom in 1957 to its recent evolution to Teliphone Navigata-Westel, the company is one of the largest independent facilities based Competitive Local Exchange Carriers in Canada.
Before Sugar, the CRM used by Teliphone Navigata-Westel was Salesforce.
The problem they had was about the rising costs of licensing due an ever-expanding workforce.
In addition the Salesforce installation was not providing the team an efficient way to manage their contracts.
The company decided eventually to migrate to Sugarcrm with the help of 604media.
The Solution is SugarCRM Pro On-Site
604media provided the basic installation and configuration of Sugarcrm Pro On-Site with 5 user license to start the development process. The data was mapped from the various Salesforce modules and the contracts problem was met by the development of a custom module synchronized with the default Contracts module.
This provided the framework to allow the original contract to be registered in SugarCRM under the Contracts Module and all subsequent contract revisions to be recorded in the Contract Revisions module. After the initial system was launched, an additional 15 users was added to the license.
